Levi & I were sealed yesterday for All Eternity! It was such a wonderful day! The weather was clear and cool, the sun was shining and it was just perfect!

We are so happy! It was a great weekend! We weren't sure how it would turn out with Levi's injury during a softball game Thursday night, but it was wonderful! I am so thankful for all the love, support and prayers. For those who don't know- Levi plays on two softball teams here in Texas. During Wednesday nights game, Levi slid in to second base and gave him self quite the road rash by taking off several layers of skin on his left knee. I have been such a good wife and I have started learning how to have a stronger stomach for injuries, while bandaging him up! I was hoping that was all that would happen!
BUT... I was wrong! Thursday night's team is made up of members from our ward and some friends from a different ward. I was sitting there enjoying the nice cool evening with our friend Emily, who's husband Dave is on both teams with Levi. We both watched Levi at bat and make it to first... then... Levi went for second after the next batter hit.... and as he slid in on his left leg (again) his right ankle caught the base and it went the wrong way. Levi walked off the field with two of his teammates by his side (one was a Dr. the other is learning). I got up and walked over to him, and by time I made it there about 1 minute later his ankle had already started to swell up. Brother Evans (who's the Dr.) came over and told me to get some ice, the concession stand was fresh out, so I called Jonathan our bro-in-law to come over (they live just up the road from where we were). He brought ice and oil. We got Levi to the car and gave him a blessing. We go home in once piece, thank heaven's.. I am still learning how to drive stick! The next morning after lots of prayers the swelling was less than the night before. We went over to Bro. Evans' office and got x-ray's - luckily the Lord blessed us and answered all our prayers - his ankle was only severely spranged!
We are so thankful to everyone who was there and has supported Levi and I. He is in a walking boot and on crutches, and will be for the next 4 weeks. I was nice and let him walk on his boot and take it off while we were at the temple yesterday. But today I have grounded him to the couch and I am not letting him do anything. We even canceled our dinner appointment for tonight with a few of his teammates and their families.
We want to thank everyone for their prayers and support! We had a wonderful time showing my mom & dad around Texas, eating amazing bar-b-que, antique shopping and taking photos. We hope to have more family and friends come and see us! We will hopefully have our own place by the end of the month! So COME SEE US!
We love you all! And can't wait to see you! Thank you again for all your thoughts, prayers and friendship!
Love- Levi & Rachel
